Part Search Tools
BOMcheck's Part Compliance Search tools allow you to query and assess the extensive BOMcheck database of regulatory and material declarations, mappings, assemblies, and finished products for millions of supplied parts and materials.
You can run compliance assessments on your own parts or parts which you may purchase or consider purchasing from suppliers. Parts matching your search criteria are displayed in the compliance data table with summary statuses for the regulatory lists available per your account type. You may export your assessments in full or by selection in various industry standard formats and report types.

Part Compliance & Details
Different Part Types
The table below provides a breakdown of the different part types which may be returned for your search query including the identifier for each type and a description.
Part Compliance Status
Below is a breakdown of each of BOMcheck's part compliance statuses. These statuses may represent a manual supplier regulatory declaration, an automated BOMcheck regulatory grading, or a BOMcheck assembly compliance roll-up (summary overview). In all instances, a worst case compliance scenario is presented based on available data.
Viewing Part Details
Click on any part number to open the Part Details layover and view additional information. This includes the full part details, list of further view options, compliance summary and the auditable history of the part declaration.
Export Compliance Data
BOMcheck provides the option to download any of the data returned from your part compliance search in various formats to suit your requirements. These include:
- Summary PDF Compliance Report
- Summary CSV data file
- Detailed PDF Compliance Report
- Detailed CSV data file
- IPC 1752A Class C and/or Class D XML
- IPC 1752B Class C and/or Class D XML
Initiating Data Export
Once you have completed a part search which has returned one or more part items you may use the ‘Export Data’ option to download reports of the parts you have searched. Optionally, you may first wish to use the select checkboxes against each part number in the data table to only export data for specific suppliers or part numbers.
For searches involving more than 1000 parts, BOMcheck will need you to provide your email address to send the report directly.
Watchlist Notifications
You can use the Watchlist tool to store a list of part numbers on BOMcheck and receive e-mail notification if:
- a supplier adds or changes the declaration status for any supplier part number on the list
- the declaration status changes for any mapped part number or assembly part number on the list.
Your Watchlist file must contain the part number in the first column and should also include the BOMcheck supplier code (DUNS number) in the second column. You can choose to receive e-mail notifications immediately, daily, weekly, or monthly. You can overwrite your Watchlist at any time by uploading a new Watchlist file.
Corporate Statements
BOMcheck enables suppliers to create corporate compliance statement PDFs which are attached to all part numbers that the supplier declares on BOMcheck. You can create corporate compliance statement PDFs for:
- the packaging you use to supply your parts to your customers
- emissions from products and packaging during transport of your parts to your customers
- substances used in manufacturing processes to manufacture your parts
