Manufacturer Access

A Manufacturer Access account enables you to retrieve substance declarations for parts that you buy from suppliers as they exist on BOMcheck. You may also search for declarations using supplier part and DUNS numbers and generate compliance reports for a list of part numbers.

This is a free-of-charge account provided you sign a Manufacturer Agreement and pilot BOMcheck with suppliers. Customers like Siemens and Philips have decided not to receive substance compliance information from each of their suppliers individually. Instead, they ask their suppliers to comply with substance restriction requirements by joining BOMcheck.

Pilot with Suppliers

As highlighted above, the Manufacturer Agreement requires Manufacturer Access accounts to agree to pilot BOMcheck with a limited number of suppliers and, on successful completion of the pilot to your satisfaction, then request your suppliers join BOMcheck, at your discretion.

You may use this Sample Pilot Letter as a draft email which you can edit and send to suppliers that are not already members of BOMcheck by using the ‘Invite suppliers to join BOMcheck’ tool in your account. For avoidance of doubt, your company is not responsible or liable in case any suppliers decide not to join BOMcheck.
